Anderson release PowerMod®PSX Connectors – Mixed Power & Signal

Anderson Power Products (APP), distributed in Australia & New Zealand by Soanar announces a new addition to the PowerMod PSX family of PCB products with the release of mixed Power & 24 Signal versions of the product line. This new offering will meet the majority of mixed power and signal PCB connector requests.  This low profile family of connectors is at least 30 percent smaller than comparable products, and is perfect when board space is at a premium and overall mating heights must be minimized. The connectors are ideal for power connections to embedded AC/DC power supplies or for board-to-board connections in servers, storage enclosures and communications equipment.

The reduced signal pin offering of 24 versus 80 reduces the overall size of the connector, making it dramatically smaller than equivalent competitive connectors.  The streamlined design of the PowerMod PSX offers excellent performance with power contacts in a multipole configuration rated to 30A at a 30Cº temperature rise in air and 60 amps per UL 1977.  The signal contacts are rated to 1 amp each. Configurations are available in either 1 power contact on either side of the signal contacts, (01-24-01) or with 2 power contacts on either side, (02-24-02).  Both versions are offered in vertical and right angle male and female connectors to deliver support for coplanar, backplane or mezzanine connections.
